Dear Island Friends

Wed, 17 Dec 2008

We all celebrate differently. Some of us receive our gifts on Christmas Eve whilst others have to wait until Christmas Day.  Most of us will eat too much and exercise too little!  We will enjoy time with our families and make plans for the New Year.  We may be different and celebrate in different ways but we do have things in common - a love for the IGA and looking forward to making a success of the NatWest Island Games in Aland next summer, when we will gather there to meet old friends and to make new ones.   2009 will be a year full of challenges.
But, first things first.  When you are all sitting there enjoying your Christmas, let a thought of care  fly out of your window to your friends all over the globe with whom you share the love of sport and the joy of friendship with people who are different to you.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
